I really hope he doesn't get turned. To echo 'the golden one masculine form' (Aurelius), It would really help Gary's development. But I kinda hope Gary attempts to to turn him, but it doesn't work. Just so it shows him and the audience that it isn't the deus ex machina that the blood ritual is. For those of you who've played xenoblade chronicles 1, the cutscene "loss" does this well.
