Unknown125:they would probably change into a subclass of vampire, as for altered I think it would turn them into a werebeast, like Jaden would be a were tiger. I think it was stated altered don't get stronger they just adapt to their power but these werebeast would be able to get much stronger.
I wonder if they will be okay with him wearing his mask to the meeting. Otherwise, Underdogs and Grey Elephants are going to figure out the one they are looking for is the boss of the new gang.

somebody needs to take over the lower tier cities. they may be weak and poor but when it comes to war, numbers are almost everything. I imagine there are a lot more people in the lower tiers. sure you could go to the tier 1 city and bully a few people out of thousands of dollars every day. or you could take over every tier 5, 4, and possibly 3 town and take 1 dollar a day from hundreds of thousands of people. there is a reason why the beggar kings are so powerful whenever they show up in stories. obviously the howlers won't do this but someone should. I hope that ends up somewhere in this story at some point. I imagine it kind of like that one guy from John Wick.
I've been wondering this for a while, can a werewolf become an altered and then you have two animals that you can turn into? Maybe a combination of the two, but then again trying that might be asking for trouble since the black blood makes you more aggressive as well as being a werewolf on the full moon.
