I feel like Kai is Damion's son and is starting the howlers to make a name for himself and get out from under his father's shadow, go show that he is capable. or maybe he just grew up around the gang life and doesn't want that for himself, at least not in the traditional way they operate

honestly ...after jayden mentioned he's "sturdier" Gary needs him on his side. he may need to divulge his secret to jayden.....maybe...but that could also be in the far future
