tbh i find it weird that they wanted to kill him and refine his entire body that makes no sense since even just eating his flesh extends life span so you could just harvest some let it regenerate and repeat in exchange you would give him resources so that he can contuie to grow and so make his flesh even more beneficial considering how rare it seems cultivators like him are that would be how it would make sense and for example if eating his flesh only gives 1 year you would with this extension have already 1 year that you can just let him regrow and eat again (or refine the flesh into a pill) considering the regeneration speed i belive you could easly make 500 portion in a year meaning he would still give 500 years of life span without him needing to die
