With every word Nick says I don’t trust him to tell her the truth, only half truths or out right lies! He is a master manipulator and I fear Sasha might get caught in his manipulations. These people are playing God and that will get them burned in the end. I pray Sasha can hold strong and see through the smoke Nick is blowing.
I can't stand Nick and his manipulative self righteousness😤. I hope Ernie gets to have some more fun with him. Although he is right about Sasha needing to know everything about what they are doing so she can figure out how to help her people. Little does he know, I think Sasha will be able to come up with a plan and she'll take the reins out of their hands. I am hoping so anyway.
If Chimera existed on their own before, then it's the fault of humans for having domesticated them into submission until they were comletely reliant on them. Why can't Nick see that his team and bosses are messing up with the Chimera's self-reliance, instincts, and DNA for their own selfish experimental reasons. How are they any different than the poachers that left poor Yhet as the last of his kind? If these rich people were really trying to save their species, they should have guaranteed the Chimera's safety from human threats insteas of using their vulnerability as an excuse to basically enslave them for the rest of their lives and use their existence so mercilessly for human advancement!🤬 The Chimera just want to be free!
I'm trying, I really am. I like this book and your writing so much. I'm at a standstill with this book and Hollywood. I'm stuck in such sad chapters in both books. I use reading as my escape from reality and the heartache, saddness, and no positive outlooks for the future is killing me. I need some happy endings somewhere in my life. I will keep reading because I usually won't leave a book half read but I hope both books take a turn for the better asap.
