CORNBRINGER
why would he go after magic? he outright chose a warrior build, stupidest decision, him being a gamer I believe that through training he would achieve his current power through some dragon ball shenanigan, now he has a path to power but can't walk it, say nothing of the fact that marvel magic is basically a monk+wizard combo perfect for what he originally wanted, instead he just squandered all his free stats. also the ancient one should be a lot stronger at least beyond the flerken
Imagine fighting a small boss like Hydra, mc is already overwhelmed like this, how can mc want to overcome a higher existence? what a ridiculous limitation on mc's power development. Of the many marvel novels I've read, this is the only MC who has a hard time fighting Hydra, usually all the MCs I've read from other Marvel novels treat Hydra like grass that is easy to step on. try to imagine if alex chose the way of the wizard? isn't it really easy to deal with Hydra from the inside using trivial bondage/hypnosis magic?
