This is a good explanation for the "original" plot. But I hope that the author will abuse it less in the future. Some heroines look extremely disgusting because of this (a vampire who kills her sister and enslaves her race, a rich daughter who betrays her brother and family) in any case, reading how they were a harem of sons of fortune is unpleasant even if it is a false future. You can just omit such details.
