.....So Cerion will be the westerland commander for the war? That is VERY GOOD. Perfect opportunity actually. The ironborn have one GIANT weakness. they have thralls and saltwives. Slaves. All of them are also the ones responsible for all the jobs outside of the ship sailing and combat. Blacksmith, tailor, farmer, carpenter, doctor, jeweler, mason, miner, lumberjack, etc. They all are positions filled up with thralls and salt wives.[ the ironborns and slaves are basically our world equivalent of ancient egyptians and jews]. The BEST loot that the war can give Cerion right now is this. Mass population of professional hands. They are also very easily converted to join your land once you free them. They also are the ones that hate the ironborn the most so they could also immediately be used as logiistic or supply helping hand or even as a civil militia reinforcement during the war with the ironborns.

shouldn't cerion have a nickname like The Young Lion or the Golden Lion of Casterly Rock

....Just out of curiosity. If Cerion wanted to defend against sea attack..... then why did he implemented only the boom chain? There are a lot more tools to use against sea attacks. A simple example would be greek fire, the claw of archimedes, death ray, fire ballista(and scorpion), roman ballista, etc. True some tools like the death ray would be very hard to produce, but there are a lot other that are easily implement. The claw is an example of it. So is the greek fire( as long you know what are the main ingrediants). Also there are tools that while designed for ground siege could still be decently utilized for sea defense. The boeotian flamethrower is such an example. While it is mainly used for burning wooden walls and cracking stone walls(thanks to the heat) it could be used agains ships during defense.{another way to use it is to ignite the surrounding town around the castle/keep so that the resulted smoke will kill all the humans inside the fortress. Using boeotian flamethrower is much quicker than using normal torches(a lot of torches) and oil for it. The problem with that is the moral point of doing such action}
