Their seems to be a tad bit of confusion with your take on nature transformation. The Fireball jutsu is a fire element jutsu that anyone can use, but is not nature transformation. The Fireball jutsu effect and ability to learn are better with those with fire Affinity. Nature Transformation of Fire + fireball jutsu would increase the size, effect, and range. Comparing the fire Ball jutsu with and without nature transformation is like comparing a lighter to a flame thrower or a candle to a forest fire. Elemental jutsu can be used without nature transformation but using it with nature transformation is the Elemental jutsu on steroids.
Its relatively peaceful when naruto starts and academy last longer and teaches more than it did when kakashi went through. I think with the given time besides teaching the basics and building a foundation things like tree walking and more than the three basic jutsu would be taught after they graduate or by their families. When squad 7 learned from copy cat was probably way later then it should have been
Daoist9177NN:Yeah I do think that the author is little confused about the definition of nature transformation. Nature transformation was done when Naruto created rasin shuriken, and it is hard af. So i can't help but doubt that Sasuke, the guy who couldn't even climb trees using chakra would know of nature transformation. P.S - What exactly were they teaching at the academy, if they didn't even teach them how to climb a tree??
