This is very common situation even in real world, but not too cliche. How many people need a lot to save their loved ones? What would one do to succeed? A lot. And they often have in common that they are somewhat poor. Money to operate cancer, transplant organs, spina bifida, escaping Titanic. It's like when CC became a host to Money Making System. Except in this situation he has to amass much more wealth xd

So this is pretty much Mystique’s situation. I wonder if CC is going to have to make a deal with the devil {Mystique} in the future. Also the entire point of this conflict is to further drive the wedge between CC and the systems. He needs them now to save his daughter. In the past, he would have abandoned his grudges and hid away with her, but that’s obviously impossible now.
