Can darlaq be used as cultivation material? It seems to be likely because after all darlaq has spatial properties. It has length, width, and depth. But knowing that metaphysics of yours is strange it's very possible that you'll just say darlaq is energy even in its static form made thanks to permanence skill. Little note for you, author. English word 'energy' is derived from old greek word 'ενέργεια'. Aristotle used it to name a certain aspect of being, which is usually translated to english as 'act' or 'actuality'. Actuality in philosophy of Aristotle is that aspect of beings which affects other beings making them change. What is affected in that process is another aspect of being named 'potency' or 'potential'. In short... in one of oldest traditions of european philosphy something is energy if it's a change of being. Blade of darlaq is not energy. However of course it's only an old tradition.

To be honest I really really want the Main Character system to be able to appoint Main Characters without killing them sl that for once A protagonist can be an ally rather than an unfortunate victim. I've read this, several other novels like it and even "Soul of Negary" which has protagonsts as pawns of their respective world used to defend against invaders and invade other worlds
