These last few chapters have me thinking: Stage 1 Systems are fragmented pieces of a specific genre with a specific theme. Once they hit the 2nd Stage, it is a system with all fragments and represents the whole genre. Stage 3 Systems would be the ones that have a multi-host/constellation theme that integrates various genre into one umbrella (think Omniscient Reader or I raised S-Class Rankers). So then what would be Stage 4? What are the OG Systems? I think they are the Authors of these worlds. Think about it: they create the world, reality, its laws, and the people. Mold the systems with mental energy from our (the real) world and created a Multiverse sandbox where the systems and people are constantly being made into books for our (reader's) enjoyment. It would be cool if Author-Nim is the Main Character system who was banished from the real world after attempting to save the Multiverse from the other Authors (Stage 4 Systems) who were drunk on power. I say this cuz remember the time when Compass got help from the Parasite guy between Darlac and Apocalypse, he said to tell the one behind Compass to make up better names. In the context of my theory, that would imply that CC is Overlord's best hope in shutting down this sandbox and reviving himself through CC as the Main Character System. But hey, that's just a theory. A WEBNOVEL THEORY! Annnnddd Cut!
Lord Gahrat is slowly creating his own sytem world variant. Once he Ascends to becoming the MC system they'll all know their place. now to see how long before that eldritch secret is exposed. I believe the systems follow the ethos sytem of immortality which is :In essence they are the manifestation of a concept. in most power systems the only way to deal with an ethos is for a similarly powerful being to beat it up, erase its sentience and either absorb it if they both fall in the same genre or turn it into a weapon or give it to someone else to absorb. in the end the ethos still exists, its simply taken a new form. if you absorb it you are yourself, but you are also the second ethos both have fused into one and therefore the concept hasn't truly died although most times other ethos would simply turn them into powerful weapons for fear or diluting the nature of their divinity which would cause them to completely metamorphose into something completely new either subtly or suddenly. e.g. Once the essence of day killed the essence of the sun and the essence of goodness and absorbed them before they could reincarnate therefore making itself day, the sun and goodness which then forcibly transformed it into the true essence of light. because it was not prepared it was unable to maintain its sanity and became a whole new entity
