I wouldn’t necessarily call it a plot hole, but erasing their memories is pretty stupid. While they don’t remember the last three months, other people will. Especially for General Artika, whose betrayal is known all across the kingdom. Even if the Queen were to use the excuse of mind-control, her life is pretty much screwed. The seed of doubt has already been planted in peoples hearts, and let’s not even mention her husband who most likely knew very well of her disgust towards Regriel. Imagine your wife run off with the man everyone knows she hates. It’s almost like being falsely accused of SA or R and your life is destroyed. Then when the truth comes out, all you get in return is a sorry, while your accuser gets little to no punishments. Might as well kms at that point.
