You can clearly see that this is the first work of the author, he totally underestimated the readers' rage in seeing this kind of forced development, when the solution to make everybody happy and still write the story he wanted was literally sitting in his lap already: He just had to say that the MC never watched the show in the first place, and everybody would be happily reading with no complains by now. Not only that, but they might even have been grateful for the brief introduction to the principles of the World that he received. I'm personally forcing myself to imagine that things were written that way, because otherwise I simply couldn't stomach to read such contrived and forced development. Come on author, it was truly a rookie and easily avoidable mistake. u.u
God reading this chapter made me feel stupid. he can't eat his element like other slayers. he lost some memories for no other reason than to make the reader frustrated. and he has a AI in his soul that'll constantly be talking instead of the massively more preferred option (in my opinion) a stat screen. (non alive) so far I'm frustrated how this has started, if only that AI wasn't there and he just had never watched FT
