I still think they should do a DNA test to see if he is her son's father because they both were set up 5 yrs ago. If he explained what happened to him truthfully she could share hers and they'd find the similarities and realize what happened long ago and this is the best solution to protect them both. She just has to take her time in helping He Y so he isn't completely cured to hurt any of them.
