1 •A new place•

"I'm going to miss all of you, I really don't want to move but I can't do anything about it" I sadly say as I say goodbye to my friends I've always had trouble making friends and I don't have very many of them but we are all close "keep in touch! We'll miss you too" my friend, Ian hugs me "don't forget about us dork" my other friend, Scarlett says with tears in her eyes "you guys are my best friends how can I forget about you guys" I choke up as I talk "let's take one last picture together" Scarlett takes out her phone and we take the picture, the last picture that we'll take together as a group "you better come visit us as much as you can", Scarlett wipes away her tears "I'll try to come visit during vacations", we all hug each other one last time.
I remember saying goodbye to my best friends as I'm sitting on a plane that's headed to Japan, even though saying goodbye to my friends was very sad I'm also scared I won't be able to make any friends...
"Andy we're only a few hours a away from landing in Japan are you excited?"
Mom has been so happy about moving to Japan ever since my dad told her about it but no one could be more excited about it than my dad
"I would prefer to be back home..."
l turn to face the window, I feel like I'm the only one who isn't ecstatic about moving,
"now don't be so negative about it this could be a great opportunity for you to meet new people"
"oh great..."
I whisper to myself in a sarcastic way and roll my eyes without mom seeing. We finally landed after so many hours, as we are waiting for a taxi that's not occupied I take out my phone and take selfies of myself waiting for the taxi.
"Taxi's here" Dad says,
we all get in and we leave the airport to our new house. On our way there I look out the window everything is so new to me I get a little nervous but everything is also to pretty, so many buildings, so colorful, and so many people walking around with shopping bags and other items as I'm looking out the window I begin to feel happy I'm not sure why but I guess the new scenery was something I didn't know I needed, I actually begin to get a little excited to be in Japan. We drive for a while longer until we arrive at the house.
"Andy help me take the luggage off while your dad pays for the taxi"
Mom tells me I get out of the taxi and take 2 suitcases in each hand while my mom brings another 2 we walk up to the house and my mom unlocks the gate, as I'm walking up the steps of the front door I look around the front yard, there's different kinds of plants and trees all over the house and a little pathway surrounded by flowers that leads to the back of the house, I try to go look around the backyard but that's when my dad suddenly appears with the rest of the suitcases and unlocks the door. As soon as I walk in I notice the house is already furnished.
"Welcome to our new home Andy, leave the suitcases here and look around the house your room is upstairs I know you'll like it"
Mom warmly smiles at me, I set the suitcases where I'm standing and head upstairs which are next to the front door. Once I'm upstairs I see 4 doors 2 on each side of the hallway, the second door on the right side of the hallway has a sign on it made of wood that says my name I walk towards it and open the door all the walls are painted dark blue and in the middle of the room there's a big bed as I walk further in I notice more items like a desk with a computer, a dresser, a TV mounted on the wall, a long shelf on the bottom of the TV that has a game console with some games, and finally I see 2 sliding doors that lead to a walk in closet.
"How do you like your new room?"
I hear my dad walk in
"I love it! The room is very cool didn't know you had it in you to decorate a room like this",
I joke around with my dad and we both laugh
"Hey! I used to be young teenager like you at some point"
"Alright dad"
I smile
"I'll leave you to your new room I hope moving to Japan isn't too stressful for you"
My dad says sincerely, I smile as a response and he leaves the room. I get on my computer to try to message my friends but there's no WiFi, I get up from the desk and lay down on the bed.
"maybe moving to Japan isn't going to be so bad after all... after everything that I saw on the way here I can't wait to go out and explore Japan"
My mind begins to wander but slowly my eyes begin to get heavy until I eventually close then and I end up falling asleep. I wake up and look at the time "8:00 pm" the clock reads, I fell asleep for a long time I walk downstairs and I don't see my my parents anywhere
"where are they?"
I see a note on the table that says:
"Andy we're going out tonight. Sleep early don't forget you have school tomorrow"
- love Mom and Dad.
"I have to go to school already but we just got here" I whine to myself. I go back upstairs and lay on my bed again "will I'll be able to make friends here? I've never been the best at making friends..I hope I can make at least one friend here... " I start thinking to myself until I end up falling asleep again.
