62 Never Bring a Shovel to a Sword Fight

"Magenta! I'm glad you helped me out but Killua is also in trouble and we need to go back! If we both get the drop on them we can save him and escape as we did with the other two." struggling with Gon who was trying to escape my grip, I hid us behind a roof-mounted HVAC machine after we got launched a couple of buildings away.

*Sigh* " Gon, do both of us a favor and shut up. We haven't escaped shit, and we lost our element of surprise as they will expect an ambush most likely. On top of that, I was only able to snatch you due to me being a decent match-up with the both of them, the same cannot be assumed about whoever attacked Killua." no longer having to deal with him thrashing about and possibly revealing our position, I sat him down next to me as I began thinking of ways to get our sorry asses out of this situation.

"So you are just going to abandon him!?" breaking the silence between us with a whispered shout, He began verbally berating me for 'betraying' Killua.

'As if the kid needs any help… he has enough resources to do just about anything he wants on this continent as long as his parents have the mind to allow him to do so.' scoffing at the idea of getting myself killed for someone who isn't in any real danger I turned to look at Gon before replying.

"Yes."

"You!" though with his sudden shout, I quickly clamped my hand over his mouth as I began to slink away from our initial landing spot while deconstructing whatever dumb argument found itself in Gon's head.

"Relax, his family would bail his ass out in a heartbeat… Isn't he the 'young master' and all that? Besides, I am planning on regrouping and getting some help before attempting to help him escape. Currently, you are a liability that I don't want to deal with while fighting so let's focus on escaping." Dropping down from the ledge onto the lower ground, Gon and I made our way down the building we initially landed on.

"Escaping?" Held up on my wording, Gon looked over at me with what might as well have been a floating question mark above his head. Though I don't blame him, as we aren't in active combat now, yet with four Spiders running around the area possibly looking for us we are still at risk.

"Yeah escaping, we have not really escaped yet. Those two are very strong Nen users and let's just say we're fucked if they are any good at En, so it's important we make them lose our trail before hiding somewhere." Jumping down from the first floor of the building, my feet finally reached ground level as we found ourselves in one of the many side streets in this area.

'Which I know to be true in regards to Nobunaga… FUCK!' recalling what I just said and putting it into context though… I hurriedly tried to put as much distance as possible from the area we were in earlier. Running down the street towards the corner, I looked for any road signs so I could orient myself.

"Eh… That's not how I would have worded it but it does describe your situation pretty well no?" however, as we neared the intersection someone rounded the corner. And because I came to a sudden stop Gon ended up running into my back making me stagger forward a bit. Eventually taking the time to get a good look at who it was I wasn't exactly surprised, though I did curse my luck a fair bit.

"Ah… it's the asshole with a sword… I would say it's nice seeing you but my mother said it's not good to lie." shifting my foot a bit, I lowered my stance a bit as I readfied myself to either run or fight, though I would personally prefer the former if possible.

"..." Looking at me in awe (Disbelief) at my Courage (shamelessness) ins such a daunting scenario, Gon began to frown at me before looking at our assailant and also getting into a ready position.

"Hey before the both of you end up a corpse in a back alley I wanted to ask you guys something. See, last night my pal Uvogin got ambushed by some bastard with a cheap shot… Also didn't help he was weakened at the time either you know? Anyways, whoever nabbed my buddy uses some sort of Nen chains… know anyone like that?" Drawing his sword and walking towards with a disinterested look on his face, He began to questioning us. Though I felt that he didn't care whether we answered or not, there was no real concern or worry about his friends current state which confused me a bit.

"So what your boyfriend's into getting tied up and your jealous that he's having a good time with someone else?" Trying old faithful: pissing off the opponent, though it seemed to have no apparent effect.

"You are very good at getting on people's nerves aren't you." nodding a few times as he gave his sword a few test swings as he increased his pace from a slow meander to a moderate stride.

"I have been told that a couple of times… though it tends to be after they try to kill me. Oh, but I guess that time in the window when you were trying to wring my friend here dry (of information) counts no?" Seeing my first attempt fail, I doubled down on my attempt to rile him up. After all, even experienced fighters can become predictable should they lose their calm.

'I mean even Claire was reduced to some sort of Videogame boss with very telegraphed attacks when I pissed her off enough…' subtly ignoring the fact that I had to be able to react to those movements for it to be useful and the subsequent beating I got that day I refocused on Nobunaga who was roughly thirty feet across from us by this point.

"Look, I was hoping this could be somewhat interesting of a fight, but I'm just going to cut you to pieces." more annoyed than angry, he put both his hands on the handle of his sword as he got into a practiced stance as his aura exploded out his body encompassing all three of us in a bubble of En.

"Wow… first you were not even going to give us a burial and now you're going to desecrate our bodies… have some respect for the dead, even my friends know to bring a shovel to a fight when they have the intent to kill"

"The hell are you on about."
