I was about to thank you for the early chapter Imagine my horror at finding out it is already thursday night, friday really... Anyway, thanks for the chapter
Nevermind, I think it is right between Falkreath and Markath An alternate effect for the aetherial crown could be something to do with the Soul/Spirit and the way it interacts with Aetherius, which is the source of magic. His arm from Ancano already happens to be a bit peculiar, so I wouldn't bat an eye if the Aetherium Crown granted him anything from the original effect over massive spell cost reduction or magicka regeneration or something else. Anyway, it makes kind of sense that aetherium is connected in some way to aetherius, so you have a pretty wide playing field on what you want to do with it...
animadrop:Avanzchel is also a very interesting dwemer ruin to explore, since it grants Ancient Knowledge, boosting Dwarven Armor ratings and Smithing experience gain. Regardless of whether he manages to nick the Smith from the Forsworn or not. Calcelmo could be the one to have found clues about the ruin (or the restored or Moira). It isn't too terribly far from Markath
Thank you for the chapter đ and keep up the great work your doing awesome đŻ Also would love to see more of Rictus magical projects, maybe making Van helsing werewolves/lycans, making wargs like lord of the rings for a ranger/hunting division in the restored? Idk just trying to think of cool stuff
In order not to break the balance, the Aetherium items were not so dominant, but I feel that it could happen that the created items could be enchanted and imbued with magic in an almost unlimited way. Example: When you create something you use your magic to give it a certain effect and depending on how much more magic you use, the stronger it is. A powerful archmage could create an extremely overpowered enchanted artifact for example Owo
make an AI inside the crown capable of retaining a large amount of information and casting buffs into the wearer, like resist frost, fire, magic, etc... The Aetherial Crown can also become something sentient like the Hat of selection from Harry Potter, put some strong shackles into the Crown and you just got a Jarvis or an EDI from mass effect, either way i always found it strange that no magical item in tes ever have some sort of solid consciousness, i mean, people use souls and in actual people souls to bound effects to objects and places, why none was ever sentient is beyond me, so, yeah, thats my idea... you can have the arch mage analyze the crown later to make some lesser version of it later.
