They say he is going to be bad at the mystic arts in the first test because he suppressed his internal energy.I also feel like people in that world don’t have the ability to control internal energy so they use the amount you have to check your talent and since he suppressed it they didn’t sense any in him and probably think he has no talent at all. But in reality he probably has the highest out of anybody because of the tests/experiments.
