I think this is orchestrated and planned ahead by Jill. She deliberately ask for Karl's help but before that she already ironed everything. it's in her plan to tell Karl that Hillary is his daughter because if they win and get the child custody they will fly to Switzerland and they need someone to support Hillary and that is Karl. If Hillary can bribed nurses in Switzerland hospital, it can also be done in the Clinic where she claimed she gave birth, that's why she's giving all those info where she planted her fake evidence.
