The only thing I can think of would be when he entered the Tri-Palace, or I guess I should say the Nether Palace. Time seems to work very differently in the Nether realm since there all those different races from seemingly different eras.
Oh great, so he is losing more time. He was already weak enough compared to those he is ultimately after, and now he lost a year without much at all to show for it. Sigh.
