I like that in this version of the story the hokage is getting more suspicious and the fact dragon is still able to pass hints of him being compromised, since I never understood how someone with dragons position didn't have fail saves in case he gets himself into a genjutsu and gets compromised so as to let the hokage know .
Adamo_Amet:Not every chapter needs author notes, only when I feel like I need to explain why I wrote a certain plot line or asking you all, what did you guys think of this or that. All things considered this is a standard chapter with a clear storyline, Naruto finds truth, gets mad at Hiruzen and now he is going to either salvage his relationship with Hiruzen or completely destroy it.
I find it strange that Naruto never planned to gather information from those NPC villagers (by disguise obviously) such as why he is hated since almost everyone in the village knows about the nine-tailed incident and calls him fox so he should be able to connect the dots easily. Also, he could have found out who his parents were. I doubt anyone in the village except Kushina had Uzumaki as a last name. Even if there was, Kushina is still the most famous one as Minato's wife, and many people also knew about her pregnancy.
