Snollygoster
Well, I'll be honest. At the beginning of what was happening, I was a little confused but I caught on to what was going on. What happened to Daphne wasn't really a memory loss because forgetting is like passing a eraser and wiping out the memory. In her case, it's like there's a barrier that prevents access to her memory, almost like a person who goes through a traumatic experience and their mind simply forces them to forget... (like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) only with magic apparently. ================================= There's also the fact that Daphne's mother and sister basically cornered her while trying to help Axel. I think it was mainly the sister who must be feeling bad about it; she may have been too forceful. =================== If it's something as abrupt as it was, if it's something similar to post-traumatic stress disorder, then the sudden entry of Daphne's younger sister and mother trying to elicit some reaction would hinder more than actually help. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is much slower treatment with slow progression and medication. ============== Well, we've come now at the end; of course this is "magical illness" so logical treatments that are normally used might not work. ============== It seems like there will still be more chapters before all memories are unearthed but even if they do resurface, I think his love interest will find things complicated because Daphne wouldn't really be able to help in battle - she’s weaker than Martina and Akiko - besides he could go back training with Akko and Martina creating jealousy in Daphne. Basically returning their relationship back where it was before she lost her memory without any real progress. I just hope for this development if there is any real progress things become black or white; if he wants a harem he should be honest about that too.
