The Devas are Unnecessarily.... They are so strong that the ey are boring Unnecessary. I Mc's shop not sell something that makes a person even stronger than a Deva (but still weaker then Mc) then it is just Unnecessary plot race that the Author made just for the fact that he believes in them.

How about a system based on knowledge? I.E. the more you know the stronger you are, perhaps by them using some kind of universal energy that's just really complex in it's use
