Did I miss something? he was fighting the demon god in chapter 2 and then a big jump to the future in chapter 3 without any explanation?

I'm dropping this. This author baited us with the synopsis that is not even completely true as he is not emotionless like I had imagined. Don't make excuses like he's still human or something bcos he was literally cursed by a true God(the demon)

He sounds more depressed than void of emotion if he he trully had no emotions he would be more observing and quiet or he would have a “mask” he would wear in public faking his emotions So my guess is that his emotions were dampened to the extreme instead of removed
