Xia Shuqin
this is an enormous surprise to me. This novel is so well written that I find the end disappointing, far too fast and I wanted to see more fights between Wang Che and those Team Tocket imposters. I really wonder what the reason behind stopping the novel so abruptly. Up until the moment that he wasn't picked up after 3 years the story could have gone in all sorts of directions but after that it was clear that the story had come to an end. I really hoped this novel would become popular serve as an example of how you can write a Chinese fantasy story that is well written, has very few plotholes, plot armor so well hidden by good explanations that you barely notice it and characters have believable reactions given their situation. And this novel is also a good example of how to write a story based on some of the ideas from other novels/anime/videogames/etc without making it feel as a cheap copy. There are so many references to Pokémon but if you have e never have seen the Pokémon animation or played the games than you wouldn't notice any of the references and you would never feel as if you should have seen Pokémon to understand what is meant.
What an abrupt end, it was written so well in the beginning, slow and steady with a mix of comedy, it was super good. I haven't seen a soul pet novel that was as good as this in a while, after "Monster Pet Evolution". This ending sucked, this could have gone for at least 800+ chapters but I guess it can't be helped. At least it made me feel happy for a while. Thank you author and translator for this novel. 7/10 -LordChew
