What's the goal? - Just killing: but it doesn't make sense since Riley doesn't like to kill without enjoying the pain of his victims. - Torture Aerith: Simple, classic - Turn Aerith against him: as she pretty much accepted his existence. Which doesn't suit him since he ant either the universe to end him or end the universe.
