Romeru
RIP also id like to point out how this chap shows riley having emotions Riley has empathy, he just doesn't understand. Why else would he spend the effort trying to get his mother to leave him alone? Why else would he dissuade her from knowing him? People have been saying Riley has had very little character growth, but I would argue the contrary. Riley has learned to hate himself, and to love others. Every time he goes on a killing spree is like when an alcoholic relapses. Riley has gone from an edgy teenager to a young adult who doesn't realize he has people around him who want to help him be at peace, even if that's impossible. And more importantly, Riley loves the people around him. He just doesn't realize that he does. this story beautifully showcases a disconnect between conscious thought and subconscious-led actions. thank you for my daily dose of villain retirement, romeru.
