i think gisele wouldn't be a great add as her own personality isnt matched to ash she isn't a great trainer furthermore has no battle experience aside what she learned from the academy and the pokemons she has where already trained and it might get difficult to create a romance plot for her while writing the story so my advice is to go for the girls which you have plot already made or bit easier to write

So... Ever consider for allow trainers to be able to carry more then 6 pokemon in this story? For example trainers being able to apply for a higher ranked trainer license allowing for them to carry more then 6 pokemon with them up to a certain limit based on the rank. or... having Brock apply for a breeder license allowing for him to serve the role akin to a Pokeranch for the group allowing them to keep all their pokemon with them, but only having 6 'active' pokemon.
