And once more an anachronism. "Healthy glow" is a modern way to look at things and even then more of a fashion statement than actual health benefit, seeing the high rates of skin cancer many with a healthy glow experience. In the medivial era white skin was a sign of standing and there are some theories out there that blueblood comes from the concept of being white enough that the blue in your veins is visible. Being white was desirable and is also one of the reasons the royal family of the ottomans would pass in Sweden as natives today.
Hmmm, the novel plot intrigue me. But the pacing of introductory chapters to establish Julian's new identity as Berengar are not so good. Julian sounds like he is instantly ready to be 'Berengar', given the lack of panic/confusion since he was yeeted to literal realm of unknown. Moreover while fortunately clarified later on his family's financial status, the lack of such explanation early on made Julian's sudden drive to evolve his domain's steel production is out of place as well. The first order of actions for any earth normies that got yeeted would have to gather info of their immediate surroundings, which will give motive of their next course of action. For now I'll take this as early chapters issue only. The plot interests me, so I want to read further on how this will improve and grow over time.
