this narrative is really pushing it I believe. this is a "lived happily ever after" type of story. there is a reason why monotheistic religions are monotheistic. they have a proper head and leaders who decide what is right and wrong. They decide what to accept and not. Some stone in a cave that disproves their religion will not just be accepted by anyone. And as for the Muslim population, Vijay has arrested thousands of them so the Muslim population will be more on guard with Vijay and will not trust his empire at all, some may even approach Mughals as they feel threatened. the rightwing thinking here is "these abrahamic religions are bad, let me fix it for them and then spread it so thay can be more integrated to the dharmic ways and not collude with outside muslims and Christians.
