Science is not something new to India, in hindi it is called "Vigyan", and rishi have already been studying Science and Mathematics in our country since ages, for e.g- Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Baudhyana, Charaka, Sushruta etc.. I think you should have also included Chanakya's Arthshastra in this as it is still used today.
