I hope Edward can break this situation and end up stronger than before i also hope he be more special i feel like there a lot of talented people in the empire the only reason he is strong because he has more knowledge of course he did a lot of hard work but all of his power is not something special i hope he can have something special to him only

So he officially cares about his empire now. He initially started the arcane empire just to a have billions of people doing all kinds of research for him. But I guess he grew to care them too. Sigh, thats character development for ya. Everyone let's take a moment to remember cold hearted unprincipled Edward by mentioning some of his past unscrupulous actions, I go first: Remember when Edward used to perform all kinds of unethical and gruesome experiments on human prisoners, or when he purposely didn't revive Harry Potter's dad so that Snape could get with his mom (Lily potter). to all the People saying that edward "suddenly" changed his personality:idk i felt the gradual shift even before the last chapter of Undead volume, like i dont know how you didnt feel that coming with Edwards Paranoia and the gradual shift to his intensifying overt Possesiveness and illusions of narcissistic grandeur leading him to gradually see the empire as HIS Possesion and himself as the grand advancing might behind an empire. and as for his arroganceEven though he knows that his empire is but a speck of dust on a speck of dust compared to the zenith, it is hard to really grasp and imagine that concept because the scale and variability of things on those scales are, in comparison to the experiences he had the chance of getting before, equal to an infinite amount of times greater and ofcourse you can become complacent if in a relatively short time you reach a point that is also an infinite amount of times greater in scale compared to your beginnings!
