Instead, the living Ren, is given a fake story of himself being an author to explain why he knows what’s going to happen (thus the spotty memory). The curse they reference has to do with this Ren seeing it over and over again, with every restart happening after he is defeated by the demon king. It would also explain the cold outlook of the previous Ren, since he has seen this play out so many times that he is numb to the people in the world and is willing to do whatever it takes to get out of this continuous time loop. (May also explain the term “time fragment”)

I'm not sure who's right in this situation anymore. Is Ren right to believe in Kevin, or is the other Ren right as he seems to know more about this world than the Ren we're following does?

I really hope Ren can just come clean with Kevin. Tell him hes being controlled and manipulated. Though if he did that uncountable things would happen to poor Ren, hes already suffered enough and now hes actually just a pawn being controlled by someone else as he sees the people he cares about getting hurt.

I hadda go back and re read this chapter and some other chapters in the book and I’m Starting to think that Since the author didn’t Finish the novel (Ren) and tranemigrated into the book, that somehow the characters are in a loop and that the new ren figured it out. Y’all Ever played fortnite and it’s Came to be that the characters figured out they’re In a simulation lol.

Author, I owe you something for this exciting development. Let's make sure I do not forget. I really like the introduction of the Time Remnant here and the explanation of a major plot twist. Moreover if Monarch Indifference is truly a skill, it is a sentient and self aware ability. That is unprecedented. In order to move forward Ren will need to overcome the self that is Monarchs Indifference. Much like how Shinigami in Bleach have to face and understand their blade to reach Bankai. That's going to be something, but now what will happen with the whole forced plot for Kevin to have hatred to Ren?
