Well this has gotten even more exciting. The other figure Kevin saw must have been who we know as original Ren. So there's a possibility that our Ren may one day be consumed by this other Ren. I can't help but feel that Ren's skill, Monarch's Indifference, could play a role here in the future to come, but who knows for sure.
Theory: ren is the demon king from the future, he failed to break the limit of the world, so he’s actually the time remnant manipulating past versions of himself to manipulate the main characters in order to create a strong enough challenge for himself, the story we’re reading is probably the first of numerous timelines he’s altered that actually has the potential to escape his direct control, Rens previous life as an author of the series are just fabricated memories to condition him for this cycle and lead him to a certain mindset, assuming the demon king has tried multiple times to accend his final conclusion could be the only person who can challenge him is himself (our ren)
I don't understand anything else, this "pure evil" would be a "Ren Dover" really or some other being using the shell called Ren Dover, I understand that it always had samples of time travel, dimensional travel / multiversion but I don't understand things anymore what happens is Ren by any chance some kind of Eren Yeager? manipulating past events to raw the future self?
I am very happy for the explanation of the early chapters' bad writing and out of character actions being addressed. This even somewhat starts to resolve the major issue of Ren being clueless since many chapters now about this world and the motives of its characters despite having wrote them. I think that is about the only thing left that unsettles me. He's supposed to be the author and God of this world. However, the book just reads like your casual isekai into an unknown world novel. With chapters like this we get back to the core premise of the book, but they are too sudden, jarring, and feel out of place. I like that the core premise hasn't been forgotten, but this is a difficult story to write. So, I understand why some of these issues exist with it being our author's first novel. Long review, anyway good job on these chapters. There are some massive ORV vibes going on at the moment, but as long as author keeps it fairly original and not introduce the [SPOILERS FOR OMNISCENT READERS VIEWPOINT] army of yoo jonghyuk returner thing / abyssal existences etc. [/spoiler] spoilers.... It's okay with me.
so lemme get this straight .there's more than 1 rens 1. our mc ren 2.future good ren (the one who talks about the akashic record and leaves Kevin to fight the time remnant- the novel doesn't say they are Kevin and ren but rather whit and black clothes individuals 3.time remnant ren 4.evil /cold hearted ren who killed emma (he may be a ren from further future of "good future ren" or the time remnant ren who replaces the future ren and mascarades himself as future good ren ) 5. ren that is associated with mathew. I don't have any idea how he relates to other rens and has the ability to somehow overwrite mc rens behavior and personality there is other kevins too 1) present ren (our kevin) 2 ) Kevin who lost emma 3) Kevin who listens to future good ren who talks about akashic record maybe : Kevin is on an infinite loop of trying to fulfil the profecy(novel) of him killing the demon king and failing again and again .and remnant ren is the ren that tries to make the ending of Kevin killing the demons by travelling through time using the book as some sort of connection no matter what the means. remnant ren is probably the evil ren who killed emma Or atleast a future ren whose personality was influenced/ overwritten by future ren . this is the thoughts that come into mind from the given info
