Why won’t you just tell her Damon how you feel & that she is your mate. Stop hurting her!!!

This chapter made me feel all kinds of things. I wish that she tells him what's on her mind, and I wish that he openly says that they are mates. I know Damon is a clueless stubborn Alpha and Talia is an abused shy girl, so there are close to zero chances of that happening, but I can still hope.

Firstly, there are so many misunderstandings. Coming from Talia's side, she has low self esteem and insecurities. I understand that comes from her past experiences and struggles, but why would she think that Damon would abandon her when he wanted to spend time with her? and on Damon's side, yes, I believe he has lived a life of selfishness and has done anything to benefit himself. His reasoning for holding back on telling Talia the truth about being each other's mates stems from him not wanting to lose her or her escaping, which is selfish. He will now lose her thanks to her insecure and low self esteemed thoughts and his selfishness in keeping the truth from her for his self gain.
