I remember from reverend's insanity that it can raise the talent of someone but needs to kill the people you are close it I think

Blood Skull Gu could raise the Aptitude of a Gu Masters Aparture via blood sacrifices of blood related kin. So him using it to kill random families is already against what the original Gu's ability was(Even its Immortal gu version I.e Rank 6 Blood Skull Gu still required the sacrifices to be blood related. It's made even more nonsensical since he just murdered the family that took care of him for six years without even hesitating when he apparently already knew that the gu didn't require the blood sacrifices to be his family. Perhaps if the author had bothered to make dedicated chapters, chronicles of the MC's degenerating mental state after reincarnation, his trash martial soul awakening and then his discovery of blood skull gu it would've been more readable and intresting. Perhaps the story could've centered on him becoming a bounty hunter, killing evil spirit masters and sacrificing their blood to upgrade his talent and evolve his martial soul. Perhaps because the blood skull gu isn't from the douluo plane originally he could increase his Innate Spirit power beyond Rank 10. Unfortunately all we have is a psychotic MC with no real motivations other than being a stepping stone for literally any slightly competent spirit master with a hero complex to justifiably put an end to. Also I'd just like to point out the Tang San can smell blood from kilometers away, and there's a three month gap between when he Awakens his martial souls and leaves for Nuoding Academy sooooooooo yea, realistically with both Tang San and Titled Douluo Tang Hao in the village this Origin story wouldn't be happening.
