From the story so far I think this demon god is just the thing in making and not the end goal as the future Kahn was 10 years from the future and from the things he and the HOT has said so far we can know that 1. the demon god has not become a 9th stage saint and demon emperor is a 8th stage saint 2.Kahn becomes a 8th stage saint in his 17-20 years of summoning as 7 years are spend in Rakos and the rest also in hiding and just running away. However things have changed in this timeline as we know that demon emperor became a 8th stage saint earlier than expected it can be due to the timeline manipulation and also the demon god can also become 9th stage saint but I think he will become that if the present will at peak 8th stage or on the verge of becoming a 9th stage as then the chaos will be balanced and after the whole demon god business we can move onto becoming deities as and we have to kill demon god before he becomes a deity or else he will be unkillable
