Yea I'm glad he isn't going to trust random people anymore. Oh wait, he's going into this huge clan and causing a scene to help the young master get inside? So if the young master doesn't do what he promised and decides to just kill mc because he wants to silence him to cover up him being ambushed, mc is going to do what? And he's going to help the blacksmith escape with him how? Yea mc definitely isn't trusting random people for no reason anymore and he's not going to be impulsive anymore...

I guess it can go in either way, either he take back his word and promise like typical scum young master, or it another layer of trick and he actually follow the script the mc made (but if there are surprising third reason, then well done, you make a hidden twist we didn't notice of)
