Mud Shot is a decent move, allows for you to slow down opponents and if aimed at the eyes, can decrease accuracy. If Aurora was mre experienced, she could have tried to use powder snow on the field to make using roll out more difficult. Likewise the MC could have also used mudshot to decrease movement. But since they are beginners in the heat of battle, it probably doesn’t register for them.
