this author chooses to do some weird things at times for instance give the character bipolar issues randomly the system only affects his emotions when he's killed innocent people not when he's just living his life

I don't agree but still I'd rather have a story that doesn't force a mcs personality. one of the reasons i dropped this story.. not a fan of sentient systems or weird MC manipulations that could just be done with better writing but that's my opinion

Basically, he can't even kill 1 innocent person because of this, and the amplification of emotions in general was set up and explained at the beginning of the novel to make him more human, it has nothing to do with killing innocent people, which transfers to him the negative emotions of his victims and amplifies them, in addition to deactivating the system according to the innocents killed.
