Your book has not gotten boring! Actually I sometimes get worn out reading stories that have too much drama every single chapter. If you pay attention, a normal book has slow periods in it with spurts of excitement. That’s so the reader doesn’t feel like they are on a roller coaster the whole time. I’ve noticed with serialized books where we only read a chapter at at time, the trend is to have excitement every chapter. I guess to keep the audience interested. But I don’t think that makes for a very good story. It’s too all over the place. You have a story in mind and it naturally progresses with calm times and exciting times. And that’s totally normal. Your story is more a slice of life anyways. The characters aren’t on a grand quest after all. I’m reading it to see how their lives progress and how the relationships in a reverse harem will work out and to have a happy ending.
The story is not becoming boring, I guess compared with the beginning that was packed with family drama and those spicy scenes, now the story is more focused on the characters development and back story, so it is indeed necessary. I even feel the story has gotten funnier with the addition of the two uncles.
