thus was a well done filler chapter cause it explained the reasons for itself in the chapter while also adding some small amount of content which you could've tried to milk a whole chapter out of it but those chapters would've been bland af

I liked, starting to get curious how he will enhance his soul, maybe you can link the sanctuary to his soul somehow and he gets a passive boost as time passes (he could also get a active one if the inhabitants agree to lend him their power) anyway as time passes his soul gets passively stronger.
