Usually women don’t have period when they lactate, the body produces a hormone called prolactin to prodice the milk for the babies, which also messes with estrogen levels and by consequence with periods (btw, it lasts approximately 6 months, for those of you wondering). Lactating it’s even considered as a contraceptive by some because of this. I know it’s just a chinese novel, but it just bothered me that something that should be common knowledge is not (with the added assumption that the author is a cisgender woman).
