As I have said countless times. I love a smart man and Skender is that. He may be furious but he uses his head, he isnt brute strenght. This is why he is the leader. A ruler thinks ahead. Not only is he protecting his mate but preventing a war and protecting many others out there and the ones that are yet to come. My trust in him, always pays up. It is also why he can't handle the destroyer’s curse. He's the perfect mix of brains, kindness moral compass and strebght 😊💗💙

I enjoy Skender’s sense of humor. It is laced with sarcasm. I like the way he handled Constatine. Skender had more than one reason for giving Constantine the beatdown. In addition to having Roxana attacked, Constanine had threatened the safety of others who are like family to him. He should become Skender’s slave. But of course, he can’t be domesticated like Simu.

I’ll admit, I was completely prepared to hate this chapter, after reading the first few lines. BUT, wow! This one was action packed and had a purpose! I loved it!

This was awesome! Mainly because NOW Constantine KNOWS he cannot defeat Skender. He will never challenge any of the lords as long as Skender lives. The Defender surfaced today and not simply the Destroyer They have begun to find balance. I cannot wait for the next chapter!! Roxanna awaits.

So is the threat of the shades really over?! That was sooo fast! I am still looking over Skender and Roxy’s shoulder…. Is Skender still with the destroyer or can he now control his demon and he is the defender?!
