I can see how Skender and the Destroyer need eachother. When they both stop fighting eachother and woek together, is that when Skender becomes the Defender?
Omg. I must be the one who’s deranged cause I found this chapter so fun 😳😅... Not that I’m not worried, cause if even the destroyer is afraid that Skender won’t come back to fix what he has messed up... well, we sure ought to be worried as well 😳... But I like the fact that the destroyer isn’t plain. He’s raw instinct and prone to violence, sure, but he does manage a couple of shades. I was surprised that he could think and reflect that far, even to the point to acknowledge that a man such as Ulric could contribute something good (I wonder what) even if he deserved to die (not that I support all the killing of course). Anyway,I couldn’t help but find it funny and kind of sweet to see him nervous and worried. Oh, he’ll be such a puppy when they finally get there 💗😅.... but it is true that now, all that eagerness... He could really scare her away... and his plan...? I don’t think it will work. Roxana knows Skender, so she will recognize somehow that he isn’t there. And it is HE who she wants and loves, with punctual appearances of the dark knight as Lucrezia said.... He said nothing can separate him from his mate, well clearly two things can: He himself if he scares her, or Skender if he continues to push her away... On another note... looks like I won’t be getting that confrontation between the destroyer and Blayze I’ve been so looking forward too, lol and as I said in the past, perhaps it is for the best. We wouldn’t want him to actually die.... There is something else I’m glad about that I ignored on my first pass. The destroyer said that Skender’s liking of William had somehow rubbed off on him. If it means he has somehow begun to like him it think it is a very important development as the Defender will emerge from the destroyer and we need him to protect William from the shades. I think that at first the destroyer didn’t like him because he was just another person looking for the defender in Skender but he has got to know by now that William cares about him, loves him and looks up to him 💕💙. Anyway, let’s see how this goes. The Destroyer may surprise us as he has done many times now, but we do need Skender for this to work. He needs to elaborate and go through the pain of his past in order to be ready to trust again and open his heart. I don’t want the destroyer to ruin things but at the same time I wouldn’t mind him being further humbled, knowing how much he needs him to get what he wants... And this is it. I haven’t been able to finish my thoughts on last chapter. Complex things require more time to think 😏😅. Thanks for the chapter Jas!
Hmm…. The destroyer says he runs on instinct and needs Skender’s brain. But - if he somehow reveals to Roxanna that he is the demon side of Skender…. Yes it could scare her off or he could get Skender over that hurdle of Roxanna needing to know who and what he is to agree to mating with him. Who knows, maybe the demon can be helpful instead of destructive?? Cause we know Skender is still in such deep denial and the destroyer absolutely
