Part 2 It is terrible how hopeless these demons feelā¦ none of them feel like they can redeem themselves and death keeps appearing like the only way out. Even Skender who, as sad as he is always wanted to live to make something better of himself, tried to kill himself. What was it that Zarus did to be punished this way? I have wondered for so long about this. If they are all punished for their crimes against humanity, and we know about Demosā¦ His transgressions must be as serious as his. What did he do, what are his sins? Was he the king of Gomorrah? Was he involved in x es trade? Did he sleep with all of his relativesā mates, the women of his own family as well? Did he compel all the women in his Kingdom to get his way? Yeah, maybe he should be next š ! Thank you, Jasmine, absolutely loved reading his Pov. I love the variation these other angles bring to the story. The conversations between the demons are great. The fact that William knew all about the destroyer and they didnāt and just brought it up so casually was great. Also loved that Zarus called him āone of themā. His reflections were also priceless. For a Casanova, he does know a lot about love. He's one of those... so good to give advice and help others with love affairs and so bad at it when it comes to himself... let's remember how good he was with Rayvenā¦ Itās like deep down heās a romantic, who wants for the others what he feels he could never achieve for himself. Anyway I was so excited to see Lucrezia alone with him for the first time as wellā¦ and she offered to spare him a rewardā¦??? Wowā¦ this is the very first time!!!! We have seen her punishing and smirking and then talking and trying to help, but this hereā¦ this we hadnāt seen so far, had we? Offering rewards? Iām so happy that Zarus is saving it because Iām pretty sure there shall come a time when he truly needs itā¦ And it is true that he has earned it and that also makes me almost want to cry. Iāve been thinking about Rayven. How he never stopped drowning in sorrow and self-pity. I know he had his face and that was terrible as he had to hear what people whispered around but Iām not sure, face or not if he wouldāve ever tried to occupy himself with someone or something besides himself for a while. We laugh a lot but what Zarus is doing has a lot of merit, and even if he falters later, it earns him a reward šš Also, the socially aware person in me is very thankful to Roxana. These demons who rule over the humans need to grow some better awareness themselves. As fun as it is that she has a good appetite and can eat like a manā¦ and as necessary as addressing the bully in the lunchroom may beā¦, On the one hand, for the time being the bully is coming handy as sheās dining either with the king or with Zarus and on the other sheās starting to teach them some lessons as well. They donāt really seem to be aware that there is actual hunger out thereā¦ If they are supposed to serve the humans they hurt as restitution, they better learnā¦
Part one Oh, so we get our first Zaruās Pov!!! This is so excitingššš. And yeah, I guess it could make us think that he could be the next one but, you never know, and Iād love to be surprised (not that I would mind if heās the one, I just donāt want to think so far ahead right now)! Either wayā¦ so far it seems like Mazzon will be the last one, I mean we could be surprised but thatās what Iāve been thinking for a whileā¦ except for being dead, cold, and quiet, we know nothing about the man! That and that apparently only God can save him š³šš¤¦āāļø, Lol Anyway, as far as this volume goes, Blayze will be another very important character. His animosity toward Skender is definitely something interesting to develop and the whole deal with wrath and patience has already been brought by Skender himself. Heās gaining protagonism and Iām pretty sure heāll be having an encounter with the destroyer soon. I mean, Iāve been waiting for it since last volume. Heās got such an itch to provoke Skender that he may find him this timeā¦ or at least his demonic part. If he decides to ātake a lookā at Roxanaā¦ well, I wish him good luck. Iām afraid his wolf-looking beast has very little chances when faced with our destroyerās wrath š„šā¦ I never thought Skender was boring and precisely because he was so melancholic and sad, I appreciated his humor even more. In accordance with that, Iāll continue to resent all the demons and people who thought that he was š¤. Zarus included š . All that said, I love Zarus and Iām very proud of him. I had been fearing he may fall for her. I even said I didnāt oppose. That it may even be good for both as it may be progress for Zarus and what Skender needed to react. But after the destroyerās declarations and after hearing of Blayzeās plans, I donāt think it will be necessary and as for Zarus, if liking a woman above all others would mean progress even if sheās not the one, being able to be friends with one without etxual interference would mean even more. So, Iām proud of him because despite his condition, heās being loyal, lucid, constructive and helpful beyond all his funā¦ The fact that heās willing to tempt her, to test her worth tells me that despite needing an occupation to get his mind off things, very hard things btw (literally) š¤¦āāļøš , heās also a good friend šš and I thank him for that. Just like before when the destroyer was first awoken and the whole thing was a learning experience for both Skender and Rayven, this situation here may be a learning opportunity for Lazarus and Skender. Zarus seems very lucid and wise when it comes to what Skender needs and what could help him. Maintaining himself loyal and not falling to temptation may help him gain some peace with himself and helping someone reach happiness, regain hope and get redemption may bring some hope to him and help in his own process of redemption as well.
