Hello everyoneđ. I said a while ago that I would share my Pinterest that I use for inspiration if you want visuals. Then I forget about it. But here it is if you are interested. Pinterest.com/jazzminejosef/ If you want my Instagram it is @author_jazzmine Posted recently a picture of Skender. I have been absent from my Instagram, but will try to post more đ
Ohhh⌠itâs going to be a bumpy ride. Skender doesnât think he has anyone he can trust right now, but these scattered, sinful demons will rise to the occasion. Lucrezia will keep meddling; I just hope she is kind to William. He is young and has a heart of gold. I look forward to Rayven going back to Angelica now that he has thrown the dagger aside. She is his constant savior. They will get through this well with how deep her love and patience are.
I kinda like this new Skender... cold and distant.. that helps him to be strong. I hope with this new change, the enemies won't be able to predict his next move, what he's thinking, what he's feeling. I love his gentle side the most and I think that'll prevail still. I'm curious to what the destroyer brings and how the defender comes more alive. I await too how Rayven fully let's go of the pride and that him and his fellow demons help out Skender. Angelica, you're amazing đ thanks for the chap Jazzy đ
Part 2 Well, we finally got some more insight regarding the mating bond and how it is affecting them both. Lucrezia was definitely right. Rayven has still a long way ahead. And heâs still selfish. Knowing how she can feel how he feels... how can he even think about cutting? One step forth, one step back. First, he makes very important admissions regarding how Angelica and William feel towards Skender and how he must put his pride aside and then his solution to cure himself from his pride takes him back to the only method he knows which is understandable, but completely ignores that heâs mated now⌠She can sense his pain and emotions. Thereâs no more hurting himself without hurting her. If not for him, heâs now forced to do better than that. And I canât say Iâm not glad. For this conflict, I mean. It was necessary. Things donât just vanish; they require elaboration and time. This mechanism has been with him for a very, very long time. And it is easy doing good during good times. He has got to fight, and he has got to accept the blessing he has received despite everything he did in the past. Moving on to Lucrezia now. Sheâs one of those characters that can be made to look in more than one way according to need and moment in time and according to the desired effect the author means to cause. We wonât get to fully discover her until the end. As a character, I love her. She has so many layers and I canât wait to peel each of them. I have always liked her, but I have learned to be cautious. Like when I wanted her to become Angelicaâs friend. Sheâs the punisher and sheâs strategic, thatâs not her place. And she uses questionable methods sometimes as well. But from the logic of consequences, her actions always pay up. Her hand is all over what Angelica went through, her father, the brothel, all of it. God knows if she was even the one to push Lord Davis in Skenderâs way while his demon was acting out causing everything to start⌠But canât we say that despite the hardships Angelica went through things didnât turn out just right? Isnât she with just the right man? A man that otherwise she wouldnât have found? After how much she helped Rayven thatâs what I think about whenever she comes across seeming cruel, uncooperative or harsh. We have a history with her. We should know better than to just hate her. She always has a reason behind everything. Sheâ strategic and ruthless but she means well. And even if she seeks a personal benefit that we know nothing about, the fact that her aim is to help these demons redeem themselves should be enough for us. We also know that they need to do the work. Nothing will come out from her feeding them the answers and solutions all mushed.
Part 3 As I said two chapters ago, Lucrezia knew what would happen, counted on it and the Destroyer was unavoidably going to come out. Seems like she took the risk of letting it come forward a little earlier than she had planned. Two birds, one stone. If it isnât three, who knows. The woman is so mysterious. We still don't know why she knew about Constantineâs secret or who was she trying to protect. Unless she meant Skender? But wasnt it part of her plan? I should just give up.. Rayven, as I said as well, isnât redeemed yet and this situation here is putting him to test. He will become Skenderâs strongest support among the Lords in the times to come. He owes him that and I donât mean for this. For way back. One of the things Iâve loved most about this book is how Rayvenâs perception of Skender has changed. Seeing that relationship grow throughout this volume and the blind falling from Rayven eyes has been something that has brought joy to my heart. We got to see Rayven grow at the same time that Skender got justice through his eyes. I think it is pretty fair to say that Rayven respects him, appreciates him and looks up to him now. He just needs to get over his pride. And then fight for him. Skender called him out when he needed it but supported him and had faith in him. Told him he was Rayven and not Demos more than once. I was touched by her faith. Skender the defender and his gentle nature wonât disappear that easily, even if he wants it to. Even if he tries. Also, she does mean for all of them to work together as we had talked about. And she definitely means to redeem all of them. âMany years and a lot of patienceâ she said. Well, patience indeed. I also like the mention of years as it would be unlikely that they would redeem themselves subsequently, one after another without pause. The question regarding her punishment continues to be out there. Is she stuck being a punisher? What is âhereâ? a position or an actual place? A place like the human and the demon world and not her garden that was once alive and is now deadâŚ? After Angelica, William would do pretty much anything for Skender. But thatâs probably not what she has in mind. She does plan to use him as he used Angelica to save Rayven. Both Angelica and Rayven came out well and better out of it. Theyâre both better and happier than they couldâve been otherwise. William has a pull on Skender that no one else has so heâll be instrumental to his saving. And weâll have to bear with that. They too will come out better of it. Father and son. Or at least thatâs what Iâm hoping for. I have absolutely no idea what will happen with Marie or if she is who heâs gone to find, I guess it could also be Constantine or his dad. For the time being, I have decided to leave all hopes aside and so, if it is Marie who he's gone to find, I 'll let myself be surprised. But Iâm totally expectant and excited⌠even if itâs bad⌠I just canât wait to see how that is going to play out. Maybe she wonât like him anymore as heâs not entirely himself right now or she will be furious because he âtook his timeâ. Whatever it is, she will for certain give him an âI told you soâ. I really canât wait to find out.
