Hmmmā¦. So what exactly is the situation with Skender? He apparently asked for wine in his castle after he returned from the attack by the shades, but remembered nothing the next morning. Is he fully cognizant as āSkenderā now or is his demon in control? He remembers the deal with Marieā¦ so, Iām just confusedā¦ And did Angelica actually touch Rayvenās fangs?! I appreciated their alone time, but wasnāt sure how it went from there. If she had dreams, we donāt know what they were yet. I hope we hear some more from her soon on that.
Skender is back, I'm relived that he is getting better now. But something's definitely changed. I think he got control of his demon already... but still being careful atm, otherwise he would've hurt the people around him now...but he remembers them. I'm just not sure what's going on with his entire being. And how his deal with Marie works. Maybe there's a part of him that is accepting too of what Ramona truly felt for him..and a part of him is very hurt still that's why the last line of the chapter. I guess he was showed of the past while he was recuperating? As for Rayven and Angelica..I'm glad they get to have time for themselves. thankies for the chapterš
Part 2. Regarding Ramona, Constantine and their love affair I have come clean to Manakiolsen. Iāve told her why I have resisted the idea that the feelings he shared with Ramona had only been romantic on his side. Even if it was not meant to be I had wanted them to not have been totally unrequited and just a delusion on his part. What can I say, being seen only as āthe friendā makes him look sad and that makes me sad. But it looks like Iāll have to accept it and give up. If I keep hoping, Iāll be as delusional as it seems he was. In a comment that for some reason disappeared (why?), Jasmine warned me Iād be sadder. Looks like she was right. Things with Marie donāt look promising either. I was hoping she would turn out to be a good person since I kind of liked her for him as I thought it could be refreshing to have a completely different type of FL, but she was very insensitive and shameless. Though Zarusā appreciation of the āauntā is probably biased, as she fried him on the way out and she isnāt necessarily old as she somehow sounds, Iām feeling defeatedā¦ It is probably too soon to lose hope but even if she turns out to be good and has her reasons or if as in my imaginations she knows āheās the oneā and that is why she comes across like thatā¦ the whole thing is very sad. Call me mean but at least Rayven found out about the price. Heās been so clueless (or should I say, as always?) that he didnāt even know that it wasnāt only his life that Skender potentially sacrificed by unknowingly unleashing his powers to help, but that there was something else, his body and his dignity as well. Someone replied humorously to a comment I made about that. Meaning that for a man, sleeping with a woman however much she forced him into it, wouldnāt be a sacrifice. Letās forget for a moment that I have had my hopes for Marie, that I would or wouldāve liked her to be the one or that something good could eventually come out of this. Whatever it turns out to be, for him it is a sacrifice because he isnāt doing it out of desire. Who cares if as a man, anatomically speaking it is easier for him to get (involuntary) pleasure from that? We already know that as women everything is worse. Specially that kind of deal. But that doesnāt mean it is right to dismiss that it is violent as well for a man. Why should we reduce them to beings for whom that kind of encounters can be just business and always fun? Truth is, it can be difficult for them as well and as women, we shouldnāt complain about them not having anything else in their minds when we are ready to treat them as machines who couldnāt possibly have a difficulty with thatā¦ He sold his body. āDonāt say it like thatā wonāt make things worse as it is what it is, and it wonāt change the facts... āMaybe being a w ore will feel betterā. Better than being stuck in a delusion for 500 years? Perhapsā¦ The self-worth in both situations is way below the groundā¦ So very sad.
Part 1 Hello border line Skender, Dr. Skender (The Defender) and Mr Destroyer, here you are. As I anticipated last chapter, he wouldnāt wake up in full destroyer mode but somewhere in nowhere land. After what happened I suppose that it is already quite an accomplishment waking up looking normal somehow, testament that his good nature and heart are still fighting back. But, with constant provocationā¦ how long will that last? I said last chapter: āMy personal opinion is that he will wake up with some resemblance of normality, but he wonāt be entirely himself anymore. I mean, if he were to wake up in full destroyer mode there would be no story left, would it? Heād be killed by the Arch shortly after as Lucrezia said. For story purposes I think we will have to see him walk the line between the bright and the dark sideā Soon enough there will be āepisodesā and heāll start lying. The ones who care for him will dismiss it out of the wishes of their hearts but will soon realize that somethingās off, nothingās quite alright. It has already begun. Blayze will probably be the first to be at the other end of his new demonic powers and smirking self if he continues like thatā¦ and he will. A part of me says, go on, as long as he doesnāt dieā¦ let him burn for a whileā¦ But the Skender I know and have loved wouldnāt do that. But something will happen for sure, and I suppose that the relationship between them will be a theme in his volume and that at some point Blayze will have to give a turn. Also, as I said back thenā¦ his demon likes wine. A glass of wine every day, some doctors prescribe but here it is probably a reflection of how demons are more prone to sin and viceā¦ Rayvenās jealousy is definitely more related to his pride. I mean, if after being mated to Angelica he still has a shred of doubt regarding her feelings, then I doubt anything can help with that, except maybe the conversation they still owe each otherā¦ We heard how many couples couldnāt get it right. How the mating bond would only work if there was something true and solid behind, if there was true and total surrender of body, soul and heart. He canāt be having doubts about her feelings towards Skender after that. He seemed better this chapter. Hoping heāll soon get over of it, jealousy or pride. It would be wise if Skender took Zarusā advice about leaving things as they are. But even if he decides to do it (and it is unlikely if he confirms that it was Constantineās father who killed Ramona, even if he now feels like a fool for having loved her), Constantine wonāt stop coming at him to provoke him, to trigger him till heās out of control. He doesnāt care about anything or anyone except his objective. As long as he gets to kill his father, little does he care about what Skender might do out there as a destroyer, before heās killed by the Arch. I suppose the thought that Skender might try to kill him as well must cross his mind but as heās manipulative and sly heās probably more than confident that heāll be able to find his way out of thatā¦
