Hello everyoneš. As you have probably noticed we are nearing the end of this volume and transitioning into Skender's volume. This does not mean that we will not see Angelica and Rayven anymore. All the characters will be included in each other's volumes So we will continue to read about Angelica and Rayven, specially since Williams story will be told through out all the volumes. So don't be sad and hope that you are excited for Skender's book instead. Plan for now is that this vol ends this month and we will start second vol next month. Thank you for all the support. lots of love ā¤ š¤
Part one. Crazy chapter! Where to start? First impression of Marie isnāt bad, but we cannot say that she is charming either. Iām glad she helped, I kind of counted on it. She seems to know a lot, a lot more than we expected and that is interesting. She came across a little too calculating though, but Iām still open to know more about her. She said some interesting things to Skender such as he needs to think about himself as no one else will (well Marie, maybe you could be on his side, although it is probably too much to ask) and also, Ramona wasnāt the one. I think she knew, and so do we as it wasnāt destined to be. But that doesnāt change the fact that he loved her, and I still chose to believe that she loved him back (Constantineās rant regarding good women destined to be with bad men kind of accounts to that). Not every love is destined to last. Iām pretty sure Ramona knew that it wouldnāt. āWe canāt keep escaping our destinyā, she said. Well, apparently their destiny was that she would die, and he would as she told him, become king and I suppose eventually find the right āoneā. So sadā¦ Going back to Marie, itās amazing how the mind can accommodate things to suit what we want. For a possible FL I guess she was too shameless but since Iām inclined towards her as she would provide a different kind of profile than what we are used to (innocent shy ladies or princesses no matter how brave or smart) I wonderā¦ Knowing as much as she seems to know about him, she must know that his heart has been mourning for centuries and is completely shut. Could it be possible that she knows that thereās no way he would voluntarily give in and that is why she is pressing things the way she is, and it is not just because she wants a s *h *a* gā¦? Being physical can sometimes be a way in, in these kinds of situations and I donāt think I would oppose. It would provide for a completely different kind of beginning as well and I could like that. However, if it is to happen, it is probably more likely for many more things to happen before thatā¦ working together may bring them close, for once. As always, my imagination runs wildā¦ wouldnāt it be interesting if she knew he was the one? If that were trueā¦ it must be really hard and could be an explanation as to why she comes across the way she doesā¦ But Iām probably delusional, this option is too far from textbook romanceā¦
I think Skender's power will come out, anytime now. Constantine will not be spared. I meant to write no one will be spared, but I think Skender will always have that soft spot for Angelica, so he won't be the destroyer that they all assumed him to be. It's that love that he has(even if it's not returned) that will outshine the destruction thats about to happen. Skender won't self-destruct.He'd be the defender. Sad that no one will be there to be at his side when he needs help, but I feel Angelica would -for a friend. .And I think Rayven will do the same too. Constantine is a mystery still... but he's testing Skender's entire being- that I think he'd lose coz it's love that'll come around.
what a great chapter! I'm thinking the evil shade is Constantines father and he's the one after the demons and Angelica. it seems like Constantine is trying to help them and the demons know he is bad and that's why they don't trust him. I hope Williams vision of Skender doesn't come true since he is helping Rayven. Holding my breath for the next chapter.
Thanks for the update, Jazzy dear. I'm seeing the seamless transition as this is being paced well out. It figures out why Constantine (shades) and Skender (demons/archdemons) seem to be at each other's throats as they are wanting to defeat the greatest enemy (Constantine's father) that could possibly evolve to conquer all of them alike. So Constantine planned out well to bring about the catalyst needed for Skender to awaken his archdemon's full potential; and thought of him as the one who could defeat his father. I could only hope that both sides would cooperate with each other if they come up with a consensus for themselves. Here's hoping to see more of Angel and Rayven's story being added with their future children. š And more of the interesting backstories of each of our other lovable demons (with their good&bad sides) as well.
Part 2 Nowā¦ the shocking newsā¦. Constantine loved Ramonaā¦ Iām not surprisedā¦ I had wondered and asked myself that question several times. But the revelation about his fatherā¦ that was indeed a surprise. I had thought about Lucreziaās father, but unless he and Lucrezia are half-siblings, I guess I should be satisfied that at least I got the word right š. (But then who is she trying to protect? pfffā¦ I should just give up). Looks like Ramona went with Constantine hoping that he would protect her, and he failed as well. āNever rely on a man for protection. His father killed her, and he blames the demons as much as himself (he didnāt say so, but if he loved her, it is a fair guess). He expected Skender to be mad at him out of jealousy and not out thinking he was the one to drain the life out of her. Angelica doesn't know but what she said could be interpreted either way. Talking about Angelicaā¦ are we to think now that sheās actually safer under his guard? If his father killed Ramona and every other prophetess, he could ever find, and Constantine wants to kill him (to avenge Ramonaās death perhaps?) that wouldnāt necessarily be so badā¦ looks like he was looking to drink from her just to be able to match him in strength and if he couldnāt do it himself then use Skender in full power to do it for him. I was right about that. He certainly wants to trigger him and use him to bring his enemy down. But what about William? I am very worried about himā¦ I keep saying that tradition is on our side as they donāt expect the prophet to be a manā¦ but how long will that last? The mystery surrounding Skender is ongoing. Once again, we are left wondering and doubting how he made it back. I still believe it was his powers/demon who acted while he was unconscious. Maybe Constantineās shades didnāt stay long enough to realize. But he isnāt surprised to see him fully healed and back? Or was he the one to take him back and heal him somehow? Then what about the wine? Really, I should just give upā¦ Again, the question about his dormant demon was raised. āAs if someone had purposedly numbed his demonā. I keep thinking about his parents, especially after hearing what his mother told Ramonaā¦ We really need to keep Angelica dreaming, if we ever want to fully understandā¦ And finally, what about Constantineās secret? When will we get to know about that? Skender threatened him with it, but the man is astute and with his intelligence and his head not being clouded by emotions, despite the blackmail, he still seems to have the upper handā¦ I am also concerned. According to him, Skender wouldnāt want to tell his father as they would all be destroyed. Who is 'they'? Shades? Demons as well? Marie is right. Skender should think about himself. We donāt know the consequences the magic may have and the rage building up within him may very well bring out his demon before timeā¦ or notā¦ in the end things happen the way they have to. Even if Rayven had followed Lucreziaās advice not to involve him, he wouldāve involved himself all the same and we love him for thatā¦ Now weāll just have to see what happens. Constantine is turning to be a very interesting character I canāt wait to know more about. Heās extremely dangerous and Iām wary of him but he seems to have many different shades. Half-good or very bad he is interesting and extremely puzzling and not an all-evil, flat, one-sided villain and that is fun š
So if Constantineās father killed Ramona, was Constantineās relationship with his father like Demosā was with Pavlos? Have we misunderstood Constantine this whole time? I still donāt trust him and this he is trying to trogger Skender to attack his (Constantineās) father but this opens a different way to think about Constantine. We did suspect Ramona went with him wilingly and there may have been love present there. Now I worry more about dear Skender. š¬
I knew it! I knew Constantine loved Ramona. I bet she loved him too. And now he needs to defeat his father for taking his love. I really hope before this volume ends that Angelica and Rayven say I love you to each other. I know theyāve been showing it to each other but I havenāt seen the words and it would make my heart happy to see them and their reactions lol
Great twist to the story Jazz. Good to know that we will still have glimpses of Rayven and Angel in the other books. What a lovely journey I have had with them. Constantine secret is no secret anymore. Hope Skender does not allow ConstantPain to trigger him. Skender itās great to have a witch as a special friend. Marie could be a great asset for you.
